Welcome to
TOVAS
Tactile Oral Visual Academic System
From the Desk of : Martha Hugley-Priori

TOVAS was founded on the idea that all children can learn if given time and the proper modality. Being dyslexic, I have personally experienced the difficulty of learning how to learn. I've progressed to the point of having a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and Audio logy.
In 1998 my idea of helping other visual/tactile learners became a reality and TOVAS opened its doors in September of 1999.
In 2003 we shall add on the12th grade and my dream of a One Room School House, (so to speak) with Pre-K thru 12, will be fulfilled. The road has been bumpy but a set goal, hard work, and Faith prevailed. We shall graduate our first class in May of 2004.
In the Fall of 2003 we will be relocated to, what was, Emerson Elementary, at 1400 South Avenue B, (off of 24th Street). I hope to see you there.
